Summary
Mei Tachibana has spent her 16 years without making either boyfriend or friends. One day, she injures a popular boy in school, Yamato Kurosawa, because of a misunderstanding but for some reason it seems that he takes a liking to her and one-sidedly claims that they’re friends. Furthermore, he not only protects Mei from a stalker, he does it with a kiss…?!!
CAG Impressions:
I thought the manga is going quite well thus far. At first because Mei-chan been hurt by so-called friends earlier in school life, she decides to close herself off to ever having friends again, much less allowing herself to open up to having at boyfriend. So at the age of 16, she has no friends and never had a boyfriend and the kids at school are having a field day with this.
In the first chapter, Kurosawa’s friend Naka-Nishi-kun bumps into Mei-chan and knocks her down. Naka-Nishi thought it was a hilarious. Another time, as all the students were going up the stairs to attend an assembly, Naka-Nishi tried to pull her skirt up and Mei-chan turns around and hurls a kick that was meant for Naka-Nishi but hits Kurosawa instead. LOL!!! That’s when Kurosawa begin to like Mei… a lot! He follows her around trying to be her friend and evens forces his cell phone number on her — to which was a good thing.
At the bakery where Mei works, a regular customer (a Salaryman) takes a liking to Mei and began to stalk her. When she realized this, she first called home but her Mother wasn’t there and she gave in and call Kurosawa. He meets her and she tells him what was happening and walking away, Kurosawa told Mei that he loves her and plants a big one (kiss) on her and this deters the stalker.
From that first kiss, changes Mei in ways she didn’t care for. Such as wanting to know what Kurosawa thought about her; if another girl is talking to him, it bothers her and most of all, why her to begin with? Kurosawa went on a group date with other students and Mei dresses incognito and decides to scope out the place for herself. She runs into Kurosawa who was waiting outside for another student, Asami-chan. Kurosawa kisses her again and this time, she’s really upset about. Mei feels it was wrong to kiss her without feeling. Well, to convince her, he kisses her some more.
And then Mei thoughts were so funny after experiencing all those kisses:
hahahahahhahahaha!!!! Love that fried chicken line! Totally recommend this series if you haven’t started reading it yet. It’s can be read online at OneManga.com, or downloaded (have to be a member) at Mangatraders.com. First six chapters are available.
